# Adding a Company

> Search official VAT data from inside HubSpot and add the selected company information to an existing HubSpot company record.

Use **Company VAT Lookup** inside a HubSpot company record to search official VAT data and apply it to the company you are currently viewing.

## How It Works

    Open a company inside your HubSpot CRM.
  </Step>

    On the right side of the record, find the **Company VAT Lookup** CRM card.

  <Step>
    Click **Search Company**.

  <Step>
    Select a country, then search by VAT number or company name.

    For Denmark, use the CVR number when searching by VAT number.

    Click **Add** for the company you want to apply to the current HubSpot company record.

    After the company is added successfully, close the window and refresh the page to view the inserted data.
