# Setting Up the Mapping Window

The mapping feature is vital for your business's VAT management in Pipedrive. Here's why it's important:

1. **Compliance:** Accurate mapping ensures your VAT data aligns with country-specific regulations, helping you stay compliant.
2. **Data Integrity:** Proper field mapping maintains consistency between your VAT information and Pipedrive records, reducing errors in reporting and calculations.

## How Does It Work?

    **Country Selection** — Select the country from the drop-down box.

      You can select only one country at a time to set mappings.

  <Step>
    Map basic company data for your selected country. The following fields are available for Denmark, UK, Sweden, Australia, Norway, Switzerland, and Finland: company number, company name, country name, company address, industry code, legal form, company registration date, and status.

    Additional country-specific fields:

    * **Australia** — state and zip code
    * **Finland** — city and language
    * **Denmark** — registration number, phone, and email
    * **Norway** — municipality, industry description, state, zip code, and extra information
    * **Sweden** — industry description
    * **Switzerland** — state, zip code, capital nominal
    * **UK** — capital nominal

    Review each row to ensure the VAT fields are correctly mapped to Pipedrive properties.

    Use the **"Actions"** button to adjust any mappings as needed. Click **"Save"** once done.

    If a required field doesn't exist in Pipedrive, click **"Create a new Pipedrive property"** to add it.

    Use the search bar to find specific fields quickly if you have many to review.
