# Prerequisites

Before integrating Shopify with Exact Online, make sure you meet the requirements below for a smooth setup.

## Checklist

    * **Active Shopify store** — Your store is active and you have administrative rights to install and manage apps.
    * **Active Exact Online account** — Your account is active and you have administrative privileges to connect third-party apps.

  <Step title="Authentication Credentials">
    Have your Exact Online login credentials ready. During setup you will be redirected to Exact Online to log in and authorize the connection.

  <Step title="Understanding Your Business Workflow">
    Know how your order management, payment collection, and fulfillment work today. The integration's sync rules (when to invoice, how to match customers and products, how to handle tax) map directly onto these processes — so a clear picture up front makes configuration faster and more accurate.
