# Prerequisites

Before integrating Shopify with Tripletex, make sure you meet the requirements below for a smooth setup.

  Complete all prerequisites before starting installation. Missing any of these can block the connection partway through setup.

## Checklist

  <Step title="Account Access ">
    * **Active Shopify store** — Your store is active and you have administrative rights to install and manage apps.
    * **Active Tripletex account** — Your account is active and you have administrative privileges to connect apps and configure settings.

  <Step title="Tripletex Integration Module">
    The **integration module (API access) must be activated in Tripletex** before you can generate an API token. Without it, the connection cannot be completed.

    <Warning>
      If the integration module isn't active, you won't be able to generate a token — and setup will stall at the connection step. Activate it in Tripletex first.

  <Step title="Authentication Credentials">
    Have your login details for both Shopify and Tripletex ready. You'll generate a **Tripletex API token** during setup, so you'll need access to the Tripletex account that holds the correct company and access rights.

  <Step title="Understanding Your Business Workflow">
    Know how your order management, payment collection, and fulfillment work today. The integration's sync rules (when to invoice, how to match customers and products, how to handle tax) map directly onto these processes — so a clear picture up front makes configuration faster and more accurate.
