Why this happens: Xero only allows payments to be posted against accounts that have payments enabled in your Chart of Accounts. If the account used for this transaction doesn’t have that setting turned on, Xero rejects the payment and the sync fails. Enabling payments for the relevant account resolves the error. How to fix this:
  • In Xero, go to Settings → Chart of Accounts.
  • Select the account used to create the paid invoice in Xero.
  • Tick the Enable payments to this account checkbox and save.
  • Return to the HubSpot–Xero integration and rerun the failed sync. The invoice should now be created successfully.
